Job Description
Plan and prioritise own work to ensure that functional project requirements on scope, time and cost are met
Contribute to the risk management strategy for assigned projects, so that the approach taken in each case is effective and appropriate to the project needs and client requirements
Actively consider new and innovative ways of working and seek continuous improvement in the delivery of the service
Support the development, implementation and regular review of project/programme risk management methodology, processes, procedures and practices
Assist in setting up the risk management plan for assigned projects and monitor progress against this plan, so that any problems are recognised promptly
Compile and maintain risk registers
Undertake analysis of project risks using software tools such as @RISK and Primavera Risk Analyser to support the effective management of risks and issues
Proactively identify and highlight any progress issues which threaten successful delivery of the project, so that recovery action may be taken
Support other project control functions as relevant to experience
Work with the WSP values to ensure that work complies with all necessary corporate, departmental and legislative requirements and procedures, to guarantee that the necessary consistency and quality of delivery is maintained.
Provides risk management services for either one large project (as part of a supervised team reporting to a Senior Risk Manager in the UK) or several parallel smaller projects
Working with UK Risk Managers and UK deadlines for schedule updates may mean irregular work hours
Appreciation of project Controls and Dashboard reporting
Routinely has to work to tight deadlines for UK projects.
Addresses technical problems within project plans to produce an effective, accurate and robust schedule.

Refers any issues that threaten project delivery to senior planner
Works within WSP planning & project controls procedures at all times
All schedules are checked by senior risk manager in line with corporate procedures
The business relies upon the job holder to provide a plan for work on assigned projects and to monitor and report progress against that plan, thus providing transparency on progress and early warning of problems.
It is likely that significant errors or omissions by the job holder would be recognised and addressed by the senior risk manager
Good communication is a key aspect of the position. Key contact is with the senior risk manager in the UK and the wider PMO services team in the UK.
Communication is via all normal media email and skype. It includes specifically the assimilation of complex data and reporting of that information in a format readily understood by others.
